My lace sheoak, 7” try square arrived today and I have to say this is an absolutely gorgeous tool. Frankly, it’s exceeded my expectations. The quality of the manufacturing is evident in every detail. The lace sheoak is far more beautiful than depicted on your web site; not nearly as dark as the picture implied. Although I’ve already used the try square to layout some tenons on a white oak table I’m building (within minutes of delivery), I’m almost afraid to store it with my other layout tools. I’m considering storing it in it’s box to prevent any accidental damage. Magnificent job, Chris! Thank you.

My matched set of sliding bevels has arrived, and they are even more beautiful to use than they are to look at.
Really impressed and pleasantly surprised.
They are really solid – that is some piece of brass. And the heavier gauge steel in the bevel is another pleasant surprise. As are the perfect width dimensions of the slides and the internal slots.

Did I tell you I got the bevel? It’s awesome. Perfect in every way. I find myself trying to make angled parts just to use it!

Description

This precision ground steel rod is the backbone of the guide setup. The rod has a flat down one side to act as a locating flat when adjusting the guide assembly in normal use.
Available in either 3/4″ (19.05mm), or 20.00mm dia. 
We custom make each one to any length required for your guides.  Often the old mounting rod is bruised, bent or badly corroded and needs replacing to get easy adjustment happening again. 
Price per rod not including thrust wheel or bearing. 
Please specify your required length when ordering.  If you’re not sure we can easily send out a rod a tad longer than needed as that is better than a tad shorter.
