Identical in function and design to the infilled Try Squares, these brass only versions have two major points of difference. The tactile brass scallop design is nice to hold in the hand though it doesn't have the warmth of timber infills. The other difference is price, if you are really stretching to purchase a Vesper Try Square you can consider a brass only type. The difference in cost is directly related to the work involved in producing the infilled version.
The 4" Try Square is perfect for general woodwork, cabinetry, dovetail marking, machine setup. It fits in your pocket beautifully.
7" is the good all rounder and most popular size. If you are unsure which size to get, get this one.
10" also for general use, but more suited for larger sized furniture, stairs, building works etc, or if you want a Workshop Master square then perhaps and A+ or A++ accuracy 10" square is a good choice.
With a precision machined solid brass body, an unbreakable hardened and ground Stainless Steel blade. These Try Squares have a point of difference unique to Vesper Tools - The Support Tab that holds up your butt. No - really it does! The body (butt) of the square sits up on the edge of your work as per the photos above and will not fall off until you click the spring loaded Stainless Steel tab out of the way for trying external corners with the square.
Square size quoted is in fact the Internal blade length. Accuracies are measured on the longer External blade edge. Accuracy is related to blade deviation over the blade length. Maximum permissible is as follows:

7" square +-0.112mm
10" square +- 0.145mm
