Wheel diameter 180mm dia to 1200mm+ dia. Max face width 100+mm.
We replace and vulcanize new rubber onto your bandsaw wheels. Then machine it circular, profile it with a nice camber/crown profile, and do a static balance.
If existing rubber is serviceable but worn, we can simply re-machine, re-profile and re-balance.
Price guide as follows:
Full service with replacement rubber, machined and balanced starts at $8.47 + GST per Centimeter of wheel diameter. (91cm x 50mm wide wheel)
Re-machining and re-profiling and balancing of existing serviceable rubber starts at $4.15+ GST per Centimeter of wheel diameter. (91cm x 50mm wheel)
Smaller wheels are cheaper, but have rising price per centimeter of dia as they get smaller.
We also do mechanical repairs for bandsaw wheels. With 25 years experience in fitting and machining Chris Vesper can fix bearings and associated parts, repairing or replacing shafts, threads, lock nuts, bores and bushes, keys and keyways, snap rings and grooves, etc, and generally returning wheels in a condition to provide you with flawless service for many decades to come.
Any extra work not rubber tire related will be quoted as required.
We accept wheels for rubber replacement from all over Australia or even international, speak to us to organise freight. Wheels should be cleaned and palletised or crated securely for transport, any extra work to disassemble and reassemble components inc bearings and shafts will be subject to further costs.
We service bandsaw wheels and blade guides of all makes, including but not limited to: Wolfenden, L S Barker, Wadkin, Wadkin Bursgreen, Woodfast, Macson, McPherson, Steelfast, Tannewitz, Oliver, Yates, SCM, Socomec, Centauro, Meber, Hammer, Felder, Laguna, plus any other bandsaws.

Don't forget the bandsaw guides we offer. Parts such as thrust wheels and side blocks or complete replacement kits for large industrial bandsaws are available.
Each wheel even off the same machine is essentially a custom job as they are usually different bore diameter and weights, each one dealt with by expert hands and eyes.
Also bear in mind we vulcanize either natural or neoprene rubber onto the wheel as required, this means replaced and 'done properly'. This is NOT a stretch on tire which is basically an extreme rubber band you install yourself often even without glue. These DIY rubber or urethane stretch on tyres have a place in the world for sure. They're very economical on small hobby type machines, but they don't work on larger machines expected to perform at their peak with heavy work and forces on wheels that bigger blades and higher tensions can generate.
