My matched set of sliding bevels has arrived, and they are even more beautiful to use than they are to look at.
Really impressed and pleasantly surprised.
They are really solid – that is some piece of brass. And the heavier gauge steel in the bevel is another pleasant surprise. As are the perfect width dimensions of the slides and the internal slots.

My lace sheoak, 7” try square arrived today and I have to say this is an absolutely gorgeous tool. Frankly, it’s exceeded my expectations. The quality of the manufacturing is evident in every detail. The lace sheoak is far more beautiful than depicted on your web site; not nearly as dark as the picture implied. Although I’ve already used the try square to layout some tenons on a white oak table I’m building (within minutes of delivery), I’m almost afraid to store it with my other layout tools. I’m considering storing it in it’s box to prevent any accidental damage. Magnificent job, Chris! Thank you.

In general Vesper Tools is attending none or minimal woodworking events.
Most woody events are no longer what they were a few years ago. The dark days of the covid era finally carted off the well flogged horse that was the big grand Woodworking Shows in Australia. Mind you they were great while they lasted, amazing back in the 1990's when they started, but internet shopping and online reviews and society wide time and money soak of other demands in life is what really ruined the actual need for those as the world moved forward.
