This industrial use bandsaw power feeder by Co-Matic is made in Taiwan and is definitely a heavy duty feeder. This power feeder comes WITH the roller fence. All up with fence it weighs 79 KG (95 KG gross in packing crate). The feed rollers are steel hobs at 175mm dia. The toothed hobs and large adjustable pressure spring offer excellent grip on timber.
Height to top of rollers is 143mm.
Install size guidance: It will fit on larger bandsaws, 24″ to 36″ or more machines being typical. The AF 19 has its mounting foot and pivot point approx in the middle, so back RH corner of table isn’t relevant to the install as the motor overhangs that.
For your reference the approximate center of the pivot foot is 250mm to the right of blade, and 250mm back from the front of blade.
The feeder comes with full size paper templates and dimensioned drawing for drilling the hole patterns.
Speed range is 1.0 to 15 M/min. Speeds are by stepped pulleys and a two speed motor. The 3 phase model you can of course run on a VSD for ultimate awesomeness.
Supplied as EITHER singe phase 220-240V or 3 phase 415V. Comes with either Australian 240V 10A plug on it, or a 3phase 10A plug, ready to plug in and go. We recommend the 3 phase one if you have 3 phase on tap, as 3 phase is always better than 1 phase for motors, plus remember the VSD option.
The power feed comes with 2 hobs, top and bottom. A recommended optional extra is a third hob, it fits directly on the drive shaft in place of the spacers normally there to separate two hobs.
Urethane wheels are also available by special order, but even for fine work we’ve found the steel hobs work fine with minimal marking of timber. The roller pressure is easily adjustable even while in use.

In a small or larger workshop with 1 or more staff consider the value to be had by having a machine work for you while you do something else. The bandsaw feeder must of course be attended at all times, but while its running as slower speeds and feeding wood through your bandsaw there may be opportunity to run the next board over the jointer, or thickness sand the slivers you just cut while the feeder keeps wood moving and maximises productivity.
Co-Matic also manufacture these heavy duty units with pneumatic pressure and retract and some other features for super heavy duty resawing. These auto units require special integration onto an existing machine and can be quoted to your inquiry.
